About

The right image begins with careful listening.

I’m Tanguy Dessoly, a photographer based in Lille. I’m drawn to images that never separate a person from their intention: a presence, an artistic project, a texture or a story to make visible.

Every shoot is built through dialogue. We set a direction, decide what should remain spontaneous and what deserves to be staged — then let the light, the location and the exchange play their part.

FAQ · 08 answers

The framework before the image.

The essentials for preparing a relaxed shoot. Every project is then confirmed together.

01How do I suggest a shoot?

Start with the project form: it lets you share your intention and constraints. I’ll then get back to you to discuss the project, availability and organisation. Sending the form does not automatically confirm a shoot.

02Where does the shoot take place?

In Lille and its wider metropolitan area, outdoors, in an interior we choose together or in a studio depending on the project. Travel further afield is also possible; costs and logistics are agreed before confirmation.

03How far in advance should I plan?

Lead time depends on the art direction, location and any other collaborators. Sending a brief several days ahead gives us time to prepare references and outfits; we agree together on what is realistic before the shoot.

04When will the images be delivered?

The usual turnaround is around one week after selection. If you have a particular deadline, mention it in our first conversation so we can agree on a realistic schedule.

05Can I bring a moodboard or several outfits?

Yes. A moodboard, a few references and your planned outfits help us establish a shared direction. Mention the number of changes and people in the form so we can pace the shoot properly.

06Are RAW files provided?

Delivery normally includes the selected and retouched images. Requests for RAW files can be discussed case by case and must be raised before the shoot.

07Can the photos be shared on your social media?

Publication is never assumed. Your consent is requested separately and usage terms are agreed before the shoot, so you can request complete confidentiality.

08Do you photograph minors?

Not at the moment. The current portfolio focuses on adult collaborations in artistic portraiture, fashion, jewellery and artist press kits.

Let’s shape the shoot

An intention first, then a conversation.

The form guides you step by step through art direction, shoot conditions and the details that matter. We’ll confirm the project together after we talk.

Five short steps to share your idea, wishes and availability. I’ll get back to you so we can imagine what comes next together.
